2023 Henri Germain et Fils Meursault Clos des Mouches Rouge, Cote de Beaune, France Leon Circle Today the estate is nowThis rare red Meursault is a monopole from a 0. 5 hectare walled parcel planted in 1949 on clay limestone just south of Santenots; it could legally be labeled Volnay, but Jean Franois Germain bottles it as Meursault to honor the site. Fermentation is spontaneous, typically with a portion of whole clusters (around 50% in recent vintages) and about 15 days on skins, followed by 1518 months of levage in burgundy pices with roughly 20% new oak. The 2022
