2014 Chateau Rayas, Chateauneuf du Pape 'Pignan', Rhone Valley, France Felsina Petit Buisson fruit is whole-cluster-pressed100% Grenache. The vineyard of Pignan is two hectares that were planted in the 1980s, located at Chateau Rayas behind the pine trees. It is a slightly warmer site with some rocks scattered through the vineyard. Soil: Fine red sand base with smaller pebbles. Whole bunch fermentation in concrete vats, then aging for 12 months in 80 100 year old foudres.
