Antique French Louis XV Marble Top Ormolu Bombe Shape Inlaid Tulip-Wood Commode 1900 Decorative Arts painted on an ivory waferA fine quality antique French Louis XV style marble top & ormolu mounted tulipwood & kingwood bombe shape commode chest, circa 1900. The serpentine shaped top having the original variegated green & rust brown marble, the chest having two deep drawers with gilt bronze rococo handles & lock plates, the top edges of the commode having ormolu brackets. The commode is of bombe form with feathered walnut & tulip woods and inlaid with satinwood stringing to
