Asarum sp Rebs Child Malawi Anyone who would name oneAsarum 'Reb's Child' is a fascinating wild ginger, collected by Plant Delights customer Reb Lappi near her home in Chapel Hill. Reb's collection is from a now extirpated (extinct) small and very disjunct population of the coastal form of Asarum virginicum that forms a very small patch to 3" tall x 1' wide in 6 years. The 1. 75" wide, round evergreen leaves are very reminiscent of the Asian Asarum takaoi. The small basal flowers are produced sparingly
