Chenrezig (or Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit) is the essence of the speech of all the Buddhas. He is also an incarnation of the compassion of all the Buddhas. He is pictured here with four arms and his inner two hands hold a lotus between them. His mantra of all pervading compassion is OM MANI PADME HUNG. This is a high quality print thangka from Nepal. Print thangkas are not hand painted. However, they are
