From the Pat Hatch Doll Collection, Charmer of a c. 1900 Black Stockingette Doll with Big Smile cornocupia Some loss of black paintThis came from the phenomenal doll collection of Pat Hatch, of Harvard, MA, recently auctioned by John McInnis of Amesbury, which I totally slept on, but happily some dolls purchased are beginning to show up and this one feels as if made to be with me at least for a bit. Late 19th c 1900 or so, tightly stuffed with raw cotton, knit cotton stockinette, with this simply but I think really wonderfully embroidered smiling face. A few holes here and there,
