1942 Folk Landscape with House on Wood with Bark (some bark loss) 8 ounce signed Lisa HerbThis painting feels as cozy as coming home to this little red roofed house nested among the trees and with blooming garden out front must have been all the more so if one had hiked quite a distance along the path leading up to it! Seeming very much to represent a world unto itself, one might think the wood panel it was painted on, with bark along the top, came from a tree felled nearby too. With some interested magic marker drawings all up and down
