I know that Keith Haring (1958 – 1990) produced versions of this button early on at his Pop Shop in Soho (opened 1986 at 292 Lafayette Street)
Lovely Antique Gilded Double Ball in Cage Whimsy face mask This stencil painted deck (producingI've gotten pickier about whimsies over time, tending to pass them by unless they are especially lovely, which this one is, in its very old gold paint, with well carved pair of balls making me think of two little peas in a pod. Beautifully detailing at top and bottom which give it an architectural feel, too. It will stand on its own flipped either way. 4 7 8 x 1 1 8 x 1 1 8 and in very good condition, no splits or repairs.
