I've got a special weakness for renderings of children with their beloved pets
C. 1900 Cast Iron HANDY Paperweight folk art clock case a largely self-taught artist whoI'd never seen one of these before, c. 1900, cast of iron I believe, and satisfyingly heavy handy, indeed, for holding down a big pile of papers. I love it for the font and of course for the word handy a good thing to have on hand, and in hand and perfect amid a collection of hands! 3 3 4" x 1 3 8" x 5 8" and in good antique condition. Looks like it may have once had a sort of brass finish, which shows here and there.
