Lovely, Delicately Carved Nude on Panel with Hidden Face boy scout Manufacturing textiles for sale wasOne of my favorite July Brimfield finds, from a dealer who always has wonderful and unusual things. (I also bought a ship in a "bottle" with the bottle actually a hollowed out lightbulb.) Quite a delicately carved nude, and I really love the ambiguity of it I believe she is actually meant to be lying down, as if her head resting on a pillow (and with her right breast pulled by gravity in that direction, but then I think the carver was quite attached
