which are utterly fun and often quite ridiculous

Little Man in a (Treen) Box Spring Toy shell art It wouldn't accommodate anything muchI'm not entirely sure whether this toy was created as I found it, or a one off creation of creative maker who combined treen canister, spring, and little man; I think likely the former a genie in a box but am not completely sure as I can't find another example out there like it. At any rate, the lid is threaded, and when you screw it off, up and out he springs! I believe most likely German Erzgebirge, and definitely with a good amount of age. One
