Lovely Early 19th Century Watercolor Portrait of Blue Eyed Black Haired Man twine It's a quintessential example ofAn early one, c. 1820s 30s or so I believe, and I think quite a lovely one, especially for the combination of his jet black hair and very pale blue eyes. And the wonderful long, thin arches of his eyebrows. Very naive but also quite delicate, with two different blues around his collar. 4 3 8" x 4 1 8", good antique condition, with what could be a stain but seems more like a very light wash to the lower half of the paper, wrapping his shoulders.
