Canonflex R2000 with Canon Super-Canomatic R 50mm f1.8 large format with digital picture and videoThe original Canonflex was introduced at about the same time as the original Nikon F, in March of 1959. It was, one presumes, meant to compete with Nikon's camera, and it well, it didn't. It was replaced one year later by the Canonflex R2000, which sold about 8800 examples before Canon called it a day. The later FD system, including the pro F1, did a lot better but this R2000 is a very cool look at what might have been. It has a streamlined, removable
