I love them as objects, and as vessels, and as painted surfaces, and they vary a great deal depending on when they were made and the lives they have lived. This is I believe the earliest example I have found, with a carved, tapered stem, unusual, and the thin ribs from being turned on a lathe subtly visible through the very soft red and yellow
