I'm just back from the Boston Antiquarian Book Fair as I write this--not where I purchased this
A little searching turns up Turkish Consul Joseph Iasigi of Boston
circa 1900 I believe
The back rest of the one at left in first photo slants back a bit as if the more relaxed of the two
Early Erzgebirge Yellow House and Sweet Little Carved Basket painted wooden sign I'm just back from theFound separately, but I think they make sweet companions, and I imagine that someone who appreciates the house will appreciate the little carved basket too! The yellow house is a great old German Erzgebirge one, with the paint worn soft just like I like them. The old carved basket was found in Maine and reminds me of a little whimsy. House : 2 3 8" x 2" t x 9 16" thick. Basket: 2 3 8" w x 1 7 8" x 7 8". Both in good condition, sold as a pair. Looks
