Fine and Very Lovely Antique Treen Lidded Jar, Presumed Early 19th Century British vintage design toy sturdy and sound and lovelyI love a pretty piece of antique treenware but mostly hold off (in no small part due to prices), but the curvaceous form and rich color and patina on this small lidded jar, together with that perfect little button of a handle at the center of the lid, were just too lovely to resist. Early 19th century British, I believe, and I'd guess made as a jar for a fairly precious spice, though I'm not entirely certain about that. Perfect now filled with a
