Pair of Vintage Mann, Japan ''Persian Hunter Circa 1642’ Handcrafted Porcelain Lidded Boxes / Bowls couple Made of sea grassI think these bright orange porcelain "Persian Hunter 1642" boxes, produced by Mann, Japan in the 1950s, are absolutely charming. The lid of one features an archer in green and burgundy on yellow horse; the other is blonde on a green horse. On the sides of each are a brown spotted stag, a dog (I believe it is a dog!), and a couple of flowers. All are rendered in vivid color with wonderful detail, making for a pair of striking and delightful boxes
