I don't know much about these antique gloves--which can be quite precious--but I just love this thing

I think of this more as a door stop than a paperweight (which is how the dealer I purchased it from described it)--weighing in at 3 1/2 pounds

From what I've seen it's a fairly unusual one, too, with the portrait inset at the center under glass and framed in what looks like brass rather than painted or printed across the entire surface.
