Butia capitata | Jelly Palm (Large) indoor/greenhouse palms Protect from very harsh sunThe lovely Jelly Palm (Butia capitata) has beautiful bluey green foliage and is tolerant. of a wide range of conditions including, cold, wind and coastal conditions. A medium sized palm, it grows eventually to around 8m tall and not often much beyond that in NZ, and yet over time it does develop a most impressive stout, thick trunk. This fine looking palm that hails from Brazil in South America seems to enjoy NZ conditions. The bright yellow orange
