Tynemouth Priory, Northumberland mb-width 1107 King Theodore of Abyssinia makesTynemouth Priory, Northumberland, 1924 1926. Tynemouth Priory was a Benedictine monastery founded in the 7th century. Three of the early kings of Northumbria were buried there. The priory was attacked several times by the Danes in the 9th century, and was destroyed by them in 875.
