It was signed BJ and dated 1994 on the underside; a bit of searching led me B. J. Pawlaczyk of Michigan, maker of both duck decoys and fishing decoys, who I'm certain was its maker. It is lead weighted but looks never to have been dropped in the water, though I do believe it had a couple of tiny ears, now
