There is some wear and cracking to the paint (more visible here in magnified views than with the naked eye) and some rust on the base

Large Old Wooden Spinning Top doll eyes I must say that II love old wooden spinning tops just as a form, and this is an especially lovely one, as pure a form as can be, with a great patina to boot. Heavy and smooth, I'd probably put it on the desk to use it as a paperweight, picking it up occasionally to give it a twirl around. (I believe there was likely once a separate winding device that attached to wind it up and properly get it spinning.) 5" tall x 2 3 4" diameter at widest. Excellent overall
