Combination Cash Store Fire, Rutland Vermont, 1906 Real Photo Postcard pony (There are two holes inWith a little digging I figured out that the Combination Cash store captured here in 1906 in flames was a wholesale and retail department store located at 88 Merchant's Row in downtown Rutland, Vermont. (It was destroyed door, but rebuilt quickly after, and was a longtime neighbor to Woolworth's.) I didn't know that when I purchased it; it's just hard to argue with the beauty of a an early photo of a building on fire, even while tragic. And for me the
