Quite elegant leaned lightly against something

I think this was most likely part of a singing bird cage or cuckoo clock or something similar

with its brown squiggles--set against bright white and framed in mustard yellow--almost like abstracted figures marching around the perimeter of the vase

No message at all on reverse but addressed simply to Oval Thurston of Fountain City (Indiana) and postmarked Dec, 23, 1909 with a nice flag cancellation.
