Description
I found this sweet fellow and a horse clearly made by the same person together
I just love the graphics on this John Mundell & Co antique trade card for its "Solar Tip Shoes" patented in 1878 and at the time this card was produced "now used for more than three years" including by all "eleven hundred students at Girard College
which seems to have operated in the 1880s-90s
carved from one piece of pine wood with the three posts of the straight back echoing the three root-like legs
Soulful, Intense Yellow Glazed Hand-Sculpted Clay Head antique phonograph part I found this sweet fellowAn intense and substantial presence to this one he looks to me as if he's keenly observing, and absorbing, everything around him and feeling it all very deeply! Excellent all the way around. And with interesting glazing that amplifies his character, sort of a ochre with rust undertones. 6" t x 6 1 4" d x 4 5 8" w and in good condition, with just a couple of small chips to the ears showing white clay, as documented very minor.
