Description
Very ripe liqueur-like aromas of various black berries are nuanced by plenty of spice and floral elements
this has acquired some maturity and balance
has stunning purity of fruit
A discreet touch of wood frames mildly reduced aromas such that I would strongly advise decanting this if you’re going to sacrifice a bottle in the interest of “science”
Olivier Leflaive, Chassagne Montrachet Abbaye Morgeot Vintage:2022 Very ripe liqueur-like aromas ofModerate reduction once again suppresses the underlying fruit though it does seem ripe. More interesting are the slightly bigger and richer flavors that manage to retain pretty good delineation on the attractively textured and vibrant finale where the only reproach is a hint of warmth.
