Description
while dark anise and espresso fill in on the finish
perfumed aftertaste
Coming from a single parcel of high density vines in the Bearwallow Vineyard in Anderson Valley
the same approach the estate used for its early wines
Benjamin Leroux, Mazoyeres Chambertin Vintage:2008 while dark anise and espresso(35% whole clusters). A very toasty and menthol infused nose offers up plenty of sauvage and earth elements on the mostly wild dark currant scents. The rich, round and velvet textured flavors possess good midpalate density though the finish is overtly woody. While this may eventually eat most of its wood, its not completely clear that it will ever successfully integrate all of it. (91 93) 2028+
