Description
tannic and likely to require quite a bit of patience
deeply concentrated red berry and cherry flavors display impressive lift and drive
This wine is still very youthful but has great vitality and a whack of ripe fruit hiding fine-grained tannins well
and two-thirds of that oak is new
Tour Maillet Vintage:2009 tannic and likely to requireFeatures good density but remains tight, with dark currant, fig and blackberry fruit balled up by charcoal tinged grip. Clove, ganache and espresso notes fill in on the finish, which should stretch out with cellaring. Best from 2014 through 2024. 1,083 cases made. JM
