It reaches a height of 2–4m and normally grows in gulches and on cliffs

here in NZ they will be slow growing but will have bursts of growth in the warmer months - producing bunches of lovely new leaves that are a delicate peachy colour until they slowly harden off to green

This single stemmed Chamaedorea plumosa will keep its attractive dark green trunk and max out its growth at about 4m in height. Ideal for smaller gardens, and looks fabulous when grouped planted.
