Once again my projected range offers the benefit of the doubt that the dryness will eventually round out with some time in bottle

There is a nose of floral-based reduction which is what the French call “bourgeon de cassis”

(from 60+ year old vines and the vineyard is a whopping 4 ha monopole within Perrières)

but in 2000 the fruit has enough intensity to nearly cover the tannins

Long and tight, with the citrus and floral notes holding the fruit at bay for now. Needs time to unwind. Best from 2008 through 2013. 25 cases imported. JM
