This is only the second release since 1973 from Block 3C of Penfolds’ Kalimna vineyard

This is all complexity and finesse - a very interesting Champagne

This is a refined Pommard but a Pommard nonetheless so at least some patience will be necessary

Lignier Michelot, Chambolle Musigny Vv other_regions (90-92)/2026+(from 50+ year old vines in Les Drazey and Gamaires). An overtly floral suffused nose reflects additional notes of pretty red and dark cherry, raspberry and spiced tea. Here too the middle weight flavors possess a lovely sense of verve while terminating in a chiseled, clean and youthfully austere finish that is very Chambollesque in character.
