I love the awkward pile up of flowers in their vase, the composition of which seems specifically designed to accommodate the branch of the tree glimpsed through the window; I am guessing the tree was painted first, and our artist was pretty pleased with it, so did not want to obsure a single limb! The framing of the yellow curtains, and the precarious perch
