Description
This isn’t quite as tight as the Chatenière but it should also reward a few years of bottle age
sea breeze and quinine along with a nuance of exotic fruit
the wine is fragrant
hence my question mark
Launay Horiot, Pommard Rugiens Bas Vintage:2018 This isn’t quite as tight(from a . 09 ha parcel). There is just enough wood present to mention, framing the cool, pure and beautifully complex dark currant, red cherry, spice and whiff of the sauvage. As is usually the case with Rugiens, the big bodied flavors still manage to be finer than those of a typical Chaponnires and notably more mineralinflected while delivering superb depth and length. I very much like the mouth feel and this is both classy and stylish. 94 2027+
