19th Century Needlepoint (with Petit Point) Boy with Dog in Period Frame 1930s watercolor and was printed by JA nice old needlepoint, mid 19th century I believe, in period frame, original to it it appears. Executed in hand dyed wool, with petit point (tiny stitches) used for the face of the boy (with excellent pinked cheeks.) And quite the little master he appears, waving his whip overhead but clearly his very sweet looking giant dog companion could trounce him if desired, so I take this as a portrait of mis guided youthful hubris! 8 1 2" x 7 3 4" framed;
