I've seen similarly shaped brushes described both as barber's brushes, but when I purchased this one at an antiques store in New Hampshire was told that with bristles this long it is actually a clothes brush. Either way, it's a beauty and great addition to any collection of beautiful things! 9 1 2" long x 1 3 4" in diameter. at widest. Very good
