Wonderful Old Miniature Carved Wooden Doll in Denim with Hand-drawn Face and Gripping Hands wax steak All very transportiveI've developed a penchant for miniature carved wooden dolls but don't come across many examples. Clothes pin dolls would fall in this category, but I find it hard to find really good ones. What I want is a no fuss sort of spareness; elemental, almost existential feeling, a doll alone in the universe. Just like this one. His whole body appears to have been carved from wood, though I have not tried to strip him of his very excellent denim outfit.
