Goodall was only 14 years old when he exhibited water colour paintings of Willesden Church and Lambeth Palace at the Society of Arts, the latter picture was awarded the Isis medal of the society. Among his best known works are, 'The Tired Soldier', 'The Village Holiday' and 'The Ploughman and the Shepherdess'.
