It blends the good flavour of the cherimoya with the sugar apples creamy texture and intense sweetness. Unlike the sugar apple, Atemoya can fruit readily outdoors in much of New Zealand without the need to be in a greenhouse. We have grafted this African Pride Atemoya on to a cherimoya seedling for increased cold hardiness. Still, we recommend planting this in your warmest position to maximise
