I am forever searching for early 19th century American folk art watercolors just like this and what could be better than the rainbow of tail feathers on this rooster??? (Well, the two color combination on that wing is very excellent too!) And look at those marvelous ink drawn claws with pointy spurs! So full of life, and exuberance, and immediacy and capturing quite the essence of a rooster. A watercolor like this feels to me as if sprung
