Faust and Mephistopheles Size:XL: 120 x 100cm The Small Faces relax back'Faust and Mephistopheles', 1888. Faust is the House of Lords and Mr Henry Labouchere MP is Mephistopheles. Labouchere was the latest in a long line of MPs to introduce a proposal to reform the House of Lords. Attempts had been made at the beginning of the 1880s but had come to nothing.
