Sweet red cherry, kirsch, hard candy, wild flowers and mint make a strong first impression before the firm 2014 Nebbiolo tannins kick in. Today, the Rocche Rivera is a bit rough around the edges and a touch wild, but it is certainly not lacking in personality. Antonio Galloni
