so at least at some point a fair while ago they were offered for sale

Frame shows some wear to the paint and a few scrapes /white marks on the surface

19th Century Tin Cup with Bird's Nest and Spotted Quail Egg, As Found in Maine sculpture of woman with three children Number stamps approx 1 1/2On the heels of yet another snow here I found this in southern Maine and it was just the right thing a 19th century tin cup delivering a harbinger of spring. As found I can't say how long this quail's nest and egg have lived inside this cup, but I will say that I did do a fair bit of dust removal from the surface of the nest. And the nest is sized exactly right for the cup, as if it were built inside of it. And that spotted egg is lovely and without a
