Private Anderson was re-examined at the Central Military Convalescent Hospital in Toronto on September 25
with original pieces of tissue paper
and Breast Star: rhodium-plated metal alloy
He received several bravery decorations and at the end of the war held the rank of Oberleutnant (first lieutenant)

A Framed Cameron Highlanders Officer’s Sporran, c. 1910 Auction Private Anderson was re-examined atA well preserved Cameron Highlanders Officers sporran, consisting of a gilded brass cantle, the obverse of which bearing a central raised image of St. Andrew against a saltire, situated within a frame of thistles, with horse hair and blackened leather accoutrements, situated within a late period frame for display, without visible marks, the frame retaining an intact glass face measuring 32 cm (w) x 48 cm (h), with minor and age appropriate material
