Saxe-Altenburg, Duchy. A Duke Ernst Medal, Type II, Civil Division, with Case Auction Archive gold paint on the hand(Herzog Ernst Medaille). Instituted 16 September 1906 by Duke Ernst I. (1906 1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and rightward facing profile of Duke Ernst II, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a raised monogram of Duke Ernst II, situated within a circular laurel leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 33. 48 mm in diameter, weighing 17. 5 grams,
