A Veterans' Society Of The World War Order Of The Compassionate Heart Auction A Commemorative Medal 13 MarchIn bronze gilt with red and white enamels, crowned two headed eagle insignia placed upon a heart on the obverse, inscribed "R. V. S." over "W. W." (Russian Veterans' Society of the World War) on the reverse, measuring 31. 7 mm (w) x 35. 2 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, intact enamels, extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of the Compassionate Heart was originally bestowed upon First World War Russian veterans living in exile in the United States.
