Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a detailed Spanish national eagle, overlaid by a central 1939 Iron Cross executed in silvered bronze with black enamel, the obverse featuring a circular chain link wreath topped by a crown, surrounding a central raised depiction of the Novgorod Kremlin, above an inscription of RUSIA 1941,
