he was discharged to duty with the 27th Infantry Battalion on the 12th
Prussia, Kingdom. An Infantry Officer’s Pickelhaube Plate United Republic of dated 26 May 1950(Pickelhaube Insigne). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a Hohenzollern eagle clutching an orb and sceptre overlaid by the monogram of Frederick the Great and a banner bearing an inscription of Mitt Gott fr Knig und Vaterland (With God for King and Fatherland), unmarked, measuring 134 mm (w) x 132 mm (h), missing its reverse attachment prongs, otherwise in better than very fine condition.
