overlaid by a gilded cross with its arms joined together through the quadrants by a circular laurel leaf wreath and with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece

the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey inscription of “JAGDGESCHWADER RICHTHOFEN”

A Porcelain Dish from a Dinner Service of Kaiser Wilhelm I, by Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Province of China Dienstauszeichnung für Offiziere für 25(Kaiser Wilhelm II Porzellanteller). Constructed of glazed white porcelain, the obverse consisting of a shallow bowl featuring central handpainted flowers executed in vibrant colour, with a gently scalloped ring fully trimmed along the exterior edge in gilt, in turn decorated with gilded floral designs interspersed with hand painted flowers, the reverse maker marked with the classic orb logo of Knigliche Porzellan Manufaktur (Royal Porcelain Factory)
