Narwhal skulls and tusks Size:Large: 7 x 5in In 1923 the first CheckerPlate 7, from the paper 'On the tusks of the Narwhale', by Everard Home, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol. 103 (1813), pp. 126 130. Figures of male and female narwhal skulls with jaw and tusk details. The illustration was printed in portrait format, but this original was designed in landscape format, with figure and scale inscriptions positioned accordingly. The work is inscribed above [portrait] with publication and plate details.
