Constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse bearing a central raised messenger pigeon in mid flight, circumscribed by an inscription of REICHSVERBAND FR BRIEFTAUBENWESEN (NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR CARRIER PIGEONS), the reverse bearing a central raised year of 1938 situated within a circular oak leaf wreath, circumscribed by an inscription of FR HERVORRAGENDE FLUGLEISTUNGEN (FOR MERITORIOUS FLIGHT PERFORMANCE),
